Even supermarkets have become involved in this business and for a small cost will put together your internet based grocery shopping and deliver it to your door at a time to accommodate yourself.
My GP surgery runs a service whereby it is possible to have a telephone appointment with your general practitioner, so if it is information or support you need, rather than an actual one to one meeting with your general practitioner, this can be accommodated, so it is even possible to talk with a general practitioner, without leaving the house.
There are mobile hairdressers and beauticians who will visit you in your house, so again it is not necessary to move from the home to benefit from these services. I am not aware, however, of dental practices who do a home service, so it would be necessary to leave the comfort of your property to keep your teeth looked after. Similarly, opticians would need you to visit them as far as I am aware.
We are fortunate to be a two car family, but we find that we almost never use both cars nowadays. We Work From Home and are therefore not going in different directions every day, when we do want to go anywhere, it is usually together, so one car fits our requirements. Quite recently we both used our cars most of time, and considered two cars as a necessity, but this is no longer the case, showing that through having Online Jobs, our lifestyles have altered quite significantly.
For those who cannot leave their house, for whatever grounds, be it disability, illness, or any other reason, the rise in Internet Business must be a real plus for them! Their grocery shopping can take place on the web and be delivered to their home, they can buy clothes and shoes, gifts, flowers, whatever they need on the web and even have their orders delivered directly to the recipient’s address whether that be their own home or some other house far away.
There are also lots of internet learning courses available, so that while at home, learning can take place, so if for example you are currently out of work, for however short a period of time, and whatever the cause of this, studying ready for returning to employment can be undertaken. It will be interesting, therefore, to see what modifications to our lifestyles, as a nation, are seen over the next few years. Will we all be spending more time in our house and less time out and about?
